Learning & Teaching Numbers

Max is such a player. 

He loves to enjoy + play + learning at the same time. 

If I sit and get serious with Max, Max doesn't like it. 

He doesn't like serious study mood. 

And of course He can't sit still more than few minutes. 

He is a super busy boy even at  home 

He plays likes he is outside! 

When I show him flash cards all the numbers, alphabets and Animals etc.. 

He is not into it. 

and tell me

Stop it!!! 

I don't want to!! 

when I sing A B C D E F G~~~ 

Max said

Mommy be quiet!! 

stop it please! 

When I sing Animal farm song.

Max hates it. 

He sings other songs at the same time when I sing.

or

tells me stop sing! 

He just want me to be quiet. lol 

I have to think How can I teach Max and make him have fun?? 

I was just showing those floor matte numbers to Max, Max didn't like it.

So I brought his cars and put on the top of numbers and started to play by myself. 

Max was looking at  me and asked

Mommy what are you doing?? 

He was showing his interest.

He counted numbers once from 1 to 15 

but just once.

He never did it again lol 

Now He says 

1,2,3,4,11,12,13, 14

He just skips between 5~10! 

I have to make him into it. 

He was playing with wooden blocks which has numbers and alphabets and pictures on them.

When I read numbers and show the blocks Max didn't even look at me. 

But when Max plays with Blocks of his way -

I interrupt and I want my B!! (B block)

AND

steals it from Max 

Max  laughs and says

No mommy B is mine! 

 B is mine 

Can I have that?

Can I have B??? 

lol

and then I show him B side of block 

and say ok Max B is yours. 

I repeat this way 

few more times 

start with Alphabets and Numbers..

And I also pretend 

Max!! C is gone!!! 

Where is C???? 

Max says 

Mommy I can help you! 

and start to look for any alphabets and shows me

if its c 

If he is right

I say 

Thank you Max!!

You are such a great helper!! 

and If He pick the wrong one

I pretend its very emergency 

Max keep showing all the blocks and ask me if its C.

I say No its D~ where is C?? 

Max bring G 

I say No Max it's G

We repeat repeat till Max find C.

This way Max is learning so far 

lol 

Boys Are Now...

Max is smart enough to know - "Potty train" 

But he is refusing! 

Atlas start to eat baby food! 

He loves everything besides fruits! 

His top favorites  are Green peas and Sweet potatoes! 

 

 He tries to go forward but He just keeps doing his push ups and somehow going backward. !

Can you believe I gave a birth naturally this big baby?? 

Definitely shorter birth hours than Max. ^^

Sunday morning (12.30) Kate and Alex and Max went to the church.

My body has been so so heavy even before thanksgiving day, I've stayed home since! 

My back hurt so bad and legs! 

My belly was itchy all the time..

I had more more more emotional days. 

I took a morning shower and after shower my water broke.. a little..

I felt different so I called Alex after I dressed up.

and more more water broke while I was on the phone.

They came home really fast ^^ 

My grabbed my delivery bag and we drove to the hospital!

One morning Max called me I was till in bed,

I tried to get up to give max milk but I couldn't my side backs were so hurt and couldn't move at all,

I cried cried and tried to reach to my cell phone to call Alex.

I was crying so hard (Alex barely understood what I was talking)

Alex had to come home to help me get up from bed. -.-;;

Yes.. 10.3 pound baby was in there! 

My dr didn't believe me how heavy this baby was and How heavy I've felt -- 

He said baby is about 7-8 pounds. 

So don't worry ^^ 

I asked him to check my baby weight with ultrasound just in case if baby is way too big for me. 

but he said everything seems very normal so no worries~ 

(Which I didn't think so -.-;)

Luckily with God's love and every family member's pray..

I safely gave a birth

Our Dir and Nurses were very shock after saw our big baby!

That's why it took pretty long as a second child,,! 

They were all guessing how much weight this baby will. 

I bet 10 pound!!

dr said. 

yes you are right! 

(This dr wasn't my dr that day)

and Dr and Nurses asked me why didn't you have c section???

because 

my dr said  my baby is really perfect size for me and around 7-8 pounds baby.

BABY Atlas is an angel baby

He slept all day while we stayed in the hospital.

He didn't cry very much either. 

so Nurse was a little worried so they even tried to make him cry! 

Alex and I rested really well there.

we celebrated  our new year there

and after we came home he slept so well.

and ate well! 

and also he's got beautiful red and brown and blonde hair! 

from Alex and grandmother! 

We are so happy to have these two beautiful boys! 

Atlas Alexander Otto was born at Sutter Memorial Hospital, Sacramento CA

at 2:58 PM on Sunday the 30th day of December 2012!

Weight 10 lbs 3.3 oz Length 20.9 inches!

Going to LA

We left around 4pm on Thursday after Alex came home from his work. 

We arrived at 10:30pm at hotel Red Lion. 

I booked the hotel near by Disney Land ^^

It was for My birthday and Max's birthday gift from Alex! 

He is such a cool&sweet daddy! 

Looks at my belly! 

With this belly I planned to go Disney and concert! 

So we actually have a day for enjoying everything! 

 Disney Way~~ 

We walked to the Disney land. 

it wasn't that far from our hotel. 

Weather was perfect but later it was a little bit hot to walk around with kid. 

 Map on the floor on the street. 

We had certain mount of time to enjoy for a day,

Had to choose what we really need to see and go. 

We didn't go Disney land Main area, instead we decided to go Cars Land for Max. 

Adventure park. 

It was enough to see half day morning till afternoon. 

I got so tired... Alex was so tired.. Max was so fussy.

He didn't like waiting in the line!! 

Since I am a fully pregnant mom Alex had to take care of Max all the time there.

Max was so mad that he can't go close to him while we were waiting. 

With Mater it was hard to take a pic because of Max. 

Max got really fussy.!!!

 They decorated exactly like in the movie!! 

I was very amazed how they made it ^^ 

For riding a tire? was really really a long line to wait.

we didn't know from the entrance. 

Going further and further.. we realized how long this line was. 

Max didn't have any patient at all.

We had deal with this fussy crying boy. 

but when he saw a tire he was better mood..

and actually Max really enjoyed riding this tires. ^^

I took a rest here for a while looking at mickey mouse under the shade sitting on the bench. 

I really really wanted to try those but I was too tired to even walk there.

it wasn't too far but for my body feel like very far away. 

They had really wonderful water show!! 

I loved it!! 

 We arrive at hotel around 4pm.

We stayed at Adventure park from early morning to whole afternoon, 

and I took a rest, waiting for my friend to pick me up to the concert!! 

My favorite Korean group had a concert in USA.

IT WAS IN LA ON MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND.

I thought it's a destiny! 

They were going to have only one day concert so tickets sold out less than 30mins!!

I couldn't get a ticket .(Alex was happy about it)

But they added one more day!! yay!!! 

I could get a ticket!!! 

I could get in first because I am pregnant!! 

GOOD USA! 

My friend pick me up at our hotel around 6pm

Say hi to Max and Alex. 

Alex and Max stayed at hotel for resting and they had their dinner at hotel.

and passed out ^^ 

My friend and I had Korean food. 

We wanted to talk more but we got in LA so late! 

We are high school friend from Korea, and I visited her place(San Diego) several times while I was in USA. 

Because of her, I could go everywhere in San Diego and LA.

She took me around everywhere. ^^

Thank you. 

and she paid our dinner for pregnant friend who was hungry for Korean food.

Somehow we didn't take pic together lol 

Here is the Honda center where my favorite Korean group had a concert! 

Next day, Saturday morning  we left hotel after breakfast. 

and came home around 5pm! 

We took a rest whole Sunday !! 

It was a perfect weekend!! 

HAPPY BELLY.

I have 2 more months to go..but my belly looks already so huge like last month. 

I have dark dark circles and somehow my butt bones are so so sore.. 

and of course my legs too.. 

Can't sleep very well at night... 

somehow.. 

when baby moves around it hurts corner of my belly. 

I can't wait to see my baby boy soon! ^^

Picky eater? Healthy eater?

You know, Max doesn't eat variety of food yet. 
He has his "can eat food" on his own. 
Positive side is he eats something I know, and other side is he doesn't want to eat other than that. 


I wish He can eat easy-make easy-cooking food 
I wish I can easily pick food for him when we go somewhere far..
I don't want him to eat just crackers and fast food when we are somewhere far away from home.

Max loves crackers of course crackers can hold few hours when we needed to get going  but... 
Not a meal in my mind it Can't be a meal - 
(Max gets horrible diarrhea if he only eats milk and crackers and get a diaper rash) 

I am not a picky eater.. (besides when I am pregnant) 
I am an eater so.. I expected the same thing to Max I guess...  

I want him to eat variety of food when we are outside.. try new things. 
but if my boys hasn't eating well for few days I start to worry and back to "his food". 

Most parents worry about food for their kids when they are far away from home, specially if you are in another country.. 

Sometimes I feel like I am the one Make Max picky eater?  or too rush ???
It took almost a year to Max eat grilled cheese Sandwich in Panera. 
Lots of moms I hang out loves to go Panera and have lunch there. 
But Max didn't like any of their menus and meals there besides Chocolate milk! 
You know How hard it is I wish Max eats like other kids there. 
and I love panera too! 
(it's hard to leave the group and go other place to feed your kid  because your kid don't eat there)

You know I can't force him to eat.. ^^;;; 

Healthy Eating habits can be the biggest struggle for children and parents. 
specially for me between two cultures.. I hope Max eats both side of food well. 


I want him to be a healthy eater, 
but I don't want him to be a picky eater. 
because I hate picky eaters lol 

Max finally starts to eat fruits other than banana. Now he eats oranges. ^^
I know I know it takes time and I need a patience ^^

 
Because of you are vegetarian because of you don't eat seafood.. 
Because of you don't eat certain food..
it's not fair you don't give any chances to your children to try those food.
